REAL TIME WEB

DOCUMENTATION

Summary

What the About RTW path has covered so far.

The Real Time Web is a network architecture for connecting live physical and virtual resources with bidirectional relationships. It is not a single app, not a replacement for the Internet, and not the World Wide Web.

Morphic Architecture Design is the blueprint behind it, introduced in 2008 by Paal Kristian Levang. Four layers can have different owners: infrastructure, network and security, domain and application, and resource and ownership. A change in one layer does not have to redefine the whole relationship.

Each network resource is an endpoint. Each endpoint has one ghost. Ghost Space is the shared state around that resource so the four layers can observe authorized updates without one party owning the whole stack.

A transfer moves ownership of a ghostId after the user confirms. A morph grants read access that can be withdrawn.
