Domains
A domain is an address space you control, not a website URL.
What is an RTW domain?
A domain here is an address space you control. It is not “the website URL.”
If an identified user owns and controls the whole stack of a domain, that user also controls ownership of allocated ghosts for endpoints connecting against that domain address space.
Whether you need a public DNS name, can register a name through a marketplace, or can attach a domain you already own is not answered in the current source. Those are implementation and onboarding questions. They do not live on this architecture site.
MAD is a bijective network system that allows anything to be connected. Physical or virtual network resources can be connected. Even an endpoint without any implementation that is able to keep a connection alive can receive program execution and data from its ghost.
This kernelization process allows empathy devices to connect and get their intelligence or program once activated. It also enables AI agents to activate the endpoint and control the behavior remotely. The ownership of the ghost determines which ghost layer can be configured at runtime.
In practice any object can be a participant in the heterogeneous network without any library or deployment prior to connecting. The ghostID can be mapped to the mac address and there will be a bijective relationship between the object and its ghost.
See How participation works for the conceptual path, or Discovery for what remains unanswered about names.
